Astronaut Training – A Practical Exploration of the Vestibular-Auditory-Visual Triad
December 12, 2024
| $385Course Summary
Through the proper functioning of our Vestibular-Auditory-Visual Triad the sights and sounds of our world become meaningful and entice us to move, explore, and engage with objects, people, and events. In this one-day course, participants will gain insight into the unique and complementary functions of each of these three key sensory systems from a developmental and neurological perspective. Understanding how these three systems work together serves as a foundation for developing an individualized treatment plan based upon the client’s unique sensory processing preferences. Participants will discuss key clinical assessment considerations and the individualized application of specific intervention strategies, including Astronaut Training: A Sound Activated Vestibular-Visual Protocol.
Astronaut Training provides precise input to all five vestibular receptors, along with auditory and visual input to create a comprehensive treatment protocol that integrates these three sensory systems. Guidelines are provided for safe, effective use of this protocol with clients of all ages and diagnoses.
Video, case presentations and interactive labs will be used to demonstrate practical clinical activities focusing on activating the vestibular-visual-auditory triad, including Astronaut Training case examples. Vital Links will send course information via email approximately one-week prior to the course. All course materials, including presentation handouts, appendix, etc. will become available for download during the week prior to the course.
