This practical two-day, activity-oriented workshop provides a theoretical overview of sensorimotor integration and its impact on postural organization, and the underpinnings of visual and auditory attention. Additionally, participants will explore each of the sensory systems and their impact on arousal, affect regulation, organization of functional movement patterns that support attention and learning. An experiential learning lab will introduce a specific clinical observation tool that will more precisely guide treatment planning. Participants will leave with an understanding of treatment principles and practical activity suggestions that can be tailored to each individual and are appropriate for a variety of environments. Come dressed to move, explore, and learn!
Who Should Attend:
Occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, physical therapists, psychologists, physicians, educators, social workers, mental health therapists, and human services professionals. Graduating students or graduate students of the aforementioned fields are also welcome.

- Administer the Clinical Observations and Quality of Movement Assessment.
- Implement several strategies that address vestibular-postural-ocular organization.
- Select three sound tools that support regulation, movement organization, and attention.
- Identify the five characteristics of a well-regulated state.
