SUMMARY:Building Blocks for Sensory Integration - Live Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Join Sheila M. Frick\, OTR/L\, creator of Therapeutic Listening®\, to discover the sensory and movement foundations underlying functional performance—and how to apply them to assessment and intervention.\nSensory integrative processing\, movement\, postural control\, regulatory capacities\, and functional performance are intrinsically connected. When challenges arise in any of these areas\, understanding the building blocks that support these capacities can provide a stronger foundation for clinical assessment and intervention.  \nIn this two-day\, live virtual course\, Sheila M. Frick\, OTR/L—a pioneer in sensory integration and the use of auditory and sensory-motor approaches in occupational therapy—will guide you through the developmental and neurophysiological links between sensory integration and the basic primary movement patterns (primitive reflexes) that support development and function.  \nYou’ll learn to: \n\nConnect sensory integration\, posture\, and movement to functional performance\nRecognize primary movement patterns and their impact on function\nApply intervention strategies with and without specialized therapeutic equipment\nUse a systematic approach to assess and address movement challenges\n\nExperience the training live with: \n\nMovement labs and clinical demonstrations\nReal-world video case examples\nLive Q&A with Sheila\n12.5 AOTA Contact Hours (1.25 AOTA CEUs)\n\nDeepen your understanding of the movement and sensory foundations underlying the challenges you see in practice.  \n\n“Sheila is a fantastic presenter and has done a wonderful job explaining each concept for thorough understanding.
