SUMMARY:Introduction to Building Blocks for Sensory Integration
DESCRIPTION:An informative one-day course that shares the developmental and neurophysiological links between sensory integration and the basic primary movement patterns (primitive and postural reflexes) that provide the foundation (or building blocks) for sensory modulation and integration. Practical emphasis on assessment and implementation of intervention strategies designed to support movement challenges that arise from lack of effective sensory motor integration will be presented. \nLocation\nOnline \nSchedule\nFriday\, May 6\, 2016\, 8:30am – 4:30pm CDT \nLevel\nIntroductory \nCourse Objectives\nUpon completion of this course\, participants will be able to: \n\nUnderstand the link between reflex integration\, postural development\, sensory modulation and behavioral challenges.\nEvaluate primitive and postural reflex development\, and be able to recognize its impact on daily function.\nDevelop simple yet powerful strategies for integration across multiple environments.\n\n\n		\n		Continuing Ed \n		\n \nVital Links is an AOTA approved provider of continuing education.
