SUMMARY:Astronaut Training - A Sound Activated Vestibular-Visual Protocol - Live Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Free Course Preview\n \nCurious why precise activation of the vestibular system is critical to function? Listen to Mary and Sheila as they discuss the power of this sensory system!\nBook included with course \nWithout clear information coming from the vestibular system\, sights and sounds in the environment do not make sense – they are only isolated pieces of information disconnected from each other and from the meaningful whole. It is integration of sensory information that holds the key for finding meaning in the world. SUMMARY:Embodied Sensation: Harnessing the Power of Interoception and Proprioception
DESCRIPTION:Join Sheila Frick for her New Course!\n \nRecording Access Available! \nProprioception and interoception are frequently discussed within the field of occupational therapy to describe one’s awareness of their internal body signals. For individuals who experience difficulties with sensory modulation and sensory processing\, inadequate interoceptive and proprioceptive awareness may contribute to struggles with body awareness\, adaptable states of arousal\, motor control\, and regulation and awareness of homeostatic functions. Effective treatment strategies aim to modulate sensation\, and support proprioceptive and interoceptive balance within the context of meaningful occupational participation. \nDrawing from current science\, this course will explore the neurological and anatomical foundations for proprioception\, interoception\, and vestibular processing. Practical application and discussions will illuminate how these sensations play a key role in self-sensing\, body mapping for enhanced body scheme\, and self-regulation. Therapists will leave this course with a comprehensive understanding of these key therapeutic concepts\, along with a variety of practical and precise therapeutic activities that can be implemented across environments. \nScroll down to Register\nLocation\nOnline with Recording Option* \nSchedule\n\n \n Full Agenda\n \n \nLive Webinar:\nThursday\, June 25\, 2026\, 9:00am – 12:45pm Central Time (CT)\nCheck-in begins at 8:30am CT\nTest begins at approx. 12:15pm CT \nCan’t Make It On June 25? SUMMARY:Using Sound to Support Regulation and Bilateral Integration (expanded Quickshifts course) - Live Webinar w/ Recording
DESCRIPTION:In this one-day course\, we will explore the therapeutic application of sound to support regulation and bilateral integration. Sound and movement are linked in both the structure and function of the brain. This course will review those connections and explore using aspects of sound for the purpose of promoting whole-brain processing\, sensory modulation and regulation\, perceptual motor skills\, spatiotemporal organization\, and cognition. Participants will learn about theoretical underpinnings such as binaural beat technology\, rhythmical entrainment\, and the encoded movement patterns found in music. This course will expand on these concepts through case and video presentations to show practical clinical applications. \nTake an additional discount of $15 per participant for groups of 3 or more individuals enrolling simultaneously under the same web-order.  \nScroll down to Register\nLocation\nOnline with Recording Option* \nSchedule\n\n \n Full Agenda\n \n \nFriday\, July 24\, 2026\, 9:00am – 4:30pm Central Time (CT)\nCheck-in begins at 8:30am CT\nTest begins at approx. 4:00pm CT \nLive Webinar Registration Closes:\nFriday\, July 24 at 7:30am CT \nRecording Registration Closes:\nFriday\, July 31 at 10:00am CT \nCan’t make it on July 24? SUMMARY:Finding Safety and Stability: A Trauma-Informed Sensory Motor Approach - Live Webinar w/ Recording
DESCRIPTION:Take an Inside Look at the Course\nListen to a preview of the Finding Safety and Stability Course to learn more about the power of proprioception and fascia; especially\, when supporting individuals who have a history of increased stress and/or trauma.\n \nThis Course is Available as an On-Demand Recording! \nTherapists and other professionals who work with individuals with sensory and developmental disorders (e.g. autism spectrum\, attention deficit\, learning disabilities) often encounter clients with difficulties related to developmental trauma. Traumatic events may be overt\, such as early loss of a primary caregiver; sexual\, physical or emotional abuse; or domestic\, community and school violence. Trauma may also be innocent\, such as early hospitalization and necessary lifesaving medical procedures in the neonatal intensive care unit. Exposure to adverse life experiences has been shown to increase the likelihood of social\, emotional and developmental delays. Furthermore\, children with developmental delays have a higher risk of being subjected to experiences involving physical\, emotional and sexual abuse. \nThere is a growing understanding\, and accompanying clinical practice that addresses the connection between sensory processing dysfunction and trauma. When an individual cannot adequately process sensory information or traumatic experiences\, the body’s natural defense mechanisms become heightened\, further impacting sensory processing disorder. \nThis live\, one-day\, online course will explore the connections between trauma\, sensory processing and sensory integrative difficulties. Participants will learn how sound and movement are critical in the development of body based\, perceptual motor\, and social emotional foundations for feeling safe in the world and in relationship to another. Treatment labs will explore the basics of auditory and vestibular/somatosensory processing\, and their relationship to arousal\, attachment\, self-regulation\, and learning. Video and case presentations will bring key concepts and treatment strategies to life in this theoretically-based\, yet practical course. \nReceive the Gertie Ball\, Power Up Ball\, and Pinky Ball from Vital Sounds for the special rate of 15% off when you register for the Finding Safety and Stability course (S&H fees apply^). Vital Sounds coupon will be provided in course registration receipt. \nTake an additional discount of $15 per participant for groups of 3 or more individuals enrolling simultaneously under the same web-order. \nScroll down to Register\nLocation\nOnline* \nSchedule\n\n \n Full Agenda\n \n \nThursday\, July 30\, 2026\, 9:00am – 4:45pm Central Time\nCheck-in begins at 8:30am CT\nTest begins at approx. 4:15pm CT \nLive Webinar Registration Closes: Thursday\, July 30 at 7:30am CT \nRecording Registration Closes: Thursday\, August 6 at 10:00am CT \nCan’t make it on July 30?
