SUMMARY:Listening and Beyond - a Therapeutic Listening Refresher
DESCRIPTION:Do you feel out of practice with your Therapeutic Listening clinical treatment? Seeking to learn more about new Therapeutic Listening tools? Have you emerged as your clinic’s expert in Therapeutic Listening and are now aiming to support the growth of others? In this one-day\, interactive online course\, you will learn how to augment your treatment skills\, as well as\, mentor others in the use of Therapeutic Listening. Together we will explore the integration of all the Therapeutic Listening libraries of albums\, including Modulated\, Fine Tuning\, Spatially Enhanced and Quickshifts to create a comprehensive and customized progression; and when necessary\, a follow-up boost progression. This experience will allow you to further refine your skills in matching music to specifically address each of your clients’ unique clinical picture. \nExplore how to support the enhancement of both vestibular and proprioceptive processing through the power of rhythm; and learn to recognize how to match rhythms to specific clinical presentations. Collaborative case studies will provide an opportunity to develop and discuss best practices\, further enhancing your ability to discuss clinical reasoning behind music selections with other professionals. This rationale will be used to inform goal-setting and documentation related to the use of Therapeutic Listening for clinical-based and practice-based research purposes. This course is designed for those who have already completed the Listening with the Whole Body course; completion of the Fine Tuning and Quickshift courses are not required\, but we will explore the clinical application of these selections. \nTake an additional discount of $20 per participant for groups of 3 or more individuals enrolling simultaneously. \n \n Enrollment Brochure\n \n \nLocation\nOnline* \nSchedule\n\n \n Full Agenda\n \n \nFriday\, March 17\, 2017\, 9:00am – 4:30pm CDT\nCheck-in begins at 8:30am CDT\nQuiz approx. 4:00pm-4:30pm CDT \nLevel\nIntermediate \nInstructors\nSheila M.
