This online course (recording access available) will provide therapists with a clear description of musculoskeletal make-up of the “core” and will cover the research based neurophysiological rationale for evaluating core development and function in individuals with sensory processing difficulties.
Drawing from current science, this course will explore the neurological and anatomical foundations for proprioception, interoception, and vestibular processing. Practical application and discussions will illuminate how these sensations play a key role in self-sensing, body mapping for enhanced body scheme, and self-regulation.
This online course teaches a protocol to provide precise input to all five vestibular receptors, along with auditory and visual input to create a comprehensive treatment protocol which integrates the vestibular-auditory-visual triad. Guidelines are provided for safe, effective use of this protocol with clients of all ages and diagnoses.
