The Clinical Use of Sound in Sensorimotor Integrative Treatment: Strategies to Support Regulation, Movement, and Participation – Live Webinar w/ Recording

November 2

| $195.00

In the past 20 years, professionals who provide intervention from sensory integration and sensory processing frameworks have been using sound interventions to support sensory modulation and integration, for the purposes of function. In this one-day course, we will explore the therapeutic application of sound to support regulation and bilateral integration. Sound and movement are linked in both the structure and the function of the brain.

This course will review those connections and explore using aspects of sound for the purpose of promoting whole brain processing, sensory modulation and regulation, perceptual motor skills, spatiotemporal organization and cognition. Participants will learn about theoretical underpinnings such as binaural beat technologies, rhythmical entrainment, and the encoded movement patterns found in music. This course will expand on these concepts through case and video presentations to show practical clinical applications.
